The Japanese Wool Cap was the main cap that was used by the Japanese during World War II.

Design and Combat Use[]

The cap was designed as a lightweight headgear for the soldiers of the Japanese Army. It was mainly used by the NCO's and officers of the IJA but was also not uncommon among the enlisted men. It had a havlock on the back to prevent from sun damage on the neck and a rim in the front. It also bore the golden star of the Japanese Army. It as used in all the combat actions of the Japanese Army during World War II.
