The M36 Field Tunic used by the Heer
The M36/40/42 Field Tunics were the standard issue German Luftwaffe Ground Forces, Heer and SS throughout the war.
M36 and M40[]
These uniforms were designed for the Germany army and were used during the first years of the war. The M40 had a silk liner, pleated pockets, 4 pockets and 2 back belt loops.
M43[]
The M43 was designed and put into service in 1942, which were seemingly identical to the old 36 and 40 models with 3 changes. The changes were the replacing of silk to artificial silk for the liner, built in suspenders and the removal of pleated pockets to straightened. These were used for the remainder of the European War. The Heer and SS were issued green uniforms, Allgemeine SS were issueed black, Afrika Korps sand camoflauge and the Luftwaffe Ground Forces navy blue.
